Chocolate and Love release their 1st organic milk chocolate bar.

MILK CHOCOLATE with caramelised hazelnuts and sea salt (50% cocoa)

Sourcing only the best cacao and other premium ingredients and producing in Switzerland, Chocolate and Love is a multi award-winning, organic, Fairtrade-certified chocolate brand.

Co-Founders Richard & Birgitte O’Connor are delighted to announce the launch of a new 80g bar to add to the Chocolate and Love family, the timing of which coincides with Organic September. The new organic Fairtrade 80g bar is milk chocolate with caramelised hazelnuts and dash of sea salt and will be available from end September 2019.

Richard O’Connor said “We wanted to create a bar which was in keeping with our mantra of more cacao, less sugar and to add a dark milk bar to our range to appeal to milk and dark chocolate lovers alike, The combination of rich, creamy milk chocolate with 50% cocoa and caramelised hazelnuts is irresistible and the hint of sea salt provides an excellent balance to the sweetness. The cocoa originates from The Dominican Republic and Peru and is sourced from the Fairtrade Cooperatives that we always source from. The bar has a pronounced cocoa flavour due to the 50% cocoa content and a lovely crunch from the caramel and the hazelnuts. A serious luxurious sweet treat ... almost too good to share!

Birgitte Hovmand O'Connor, who is responsible for the inspiration and design of this exquisite bar’s new wrapper said “I work with our talented artist from New York who shares our passion for detail and love for our planet’s flora and fauna. The artist hand-paints each of the intricate design elements making up the new pattern including the mythical phoenix which takes pride of place on the front of this bar.” Birgitte chose very vibrant colours which she felt befitting a milk chocolate pattern, She refers to the well-known phrase "Rises like a Phoenix from the ashes’, often used to describe someone who has been through hardship and begins to re-build their life. She explains, “This is what life is about. We are here to learn and grow. The Phoenix bird has many meanings including symbol of renewal and associated with the sun, fire, passion, energy, creativity, inspiration, healing, good health, good luck and abundance.”
